Constable (GD) in
Constable forms the major component of the
BSF. The working of the force mainly depends on the capability and
effectiveness of the personnel, having the right aptitude, capability and
fitness in all respects. The recruitment of constable (GD) is an important process and it is necessary to
lay down certain guidelines.
1.Classification of post:- -
A. Classification of post is general central
service group 'C' not gazetted/non ministerial and combatised.
B. Method of recruitment/ filling up of these posts will be by way of.
- Deputation in analogous scale from other CPO/SPO on functional requirement.
2.Eligibility for appointment as Constable (GD) -
For appointment to the post of constable (GD) in BSF, male candidate must meet the following eligibility conditions.
Between 19 to 23 as on last date of the submission of application.
Relaxation: - relaxation in upper age for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-serviceman.

- Educational - Matriculation. (10th).
- Physical Standard:-

- Medical Standard:-
Eye sight - max distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 for both eyes without

and no color blindness. Should be mentally sound and healthy.
